Breathing new life into a much-loved local venue

After the Roseycombe’s previous owners closed in early 2024, Star Pubs and Roseacre Pub Company seized the opportunity to breathe new life into a much-loved local venue that has been serving the Coventry community since the 1930s. Teaming up with the new licensee, the aim was to complete a full revamp of the Roseycombe in time for the busy Christmas season.
We were approached in mid-November with a request to provide premium teak dining sets and picnic tables to help revamp the pub’s outdoor space.
Providing our clients with options
Upon reviewing the project, the client decided to make an adjustment to the initial plan by replacing the picnic tables with Gabion sets – sturdy welded cages filled with Atlantic Cobblestones. These sets would be paired with our premium teak dining collection to create the ideal outdoor space for the Roseycombe.
The Gabion sets were sourced from a trusted supplier we frequently collaborate with. To simplify the ordering process and ensure everything arrived at once, we presented the client with two options. They could either split the order across two suppliers or allow us to place the order on their behalf, ensuring everything was delivered in a single, seamless shipment.
The client opted for us to handle the full order at cost, streamlining the process and reducing their administrative burden. Our installation team then carefully set about assembling 17 premium teak dining sets and placing the Gabions, filling them with the Atlantic Cobblestone that was shipped to site.
Given the size and weight of the Gabion sets, which are difficult to move once installed, our team meticulously planned the layout to ensure everything fit perfectly, with attention to detail for a flawless finish.
